If you love providing excellent service to patients and families while at the same time facilitating important duties in support of providers, this position may be for you.
In this fast-paced role you'll ensure that both patients and providers get what they need to promote the best care experience possible while at the same time having the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of neurologic diseases and conditions that affect so many people.
This position's primary responsibility is to coordinate the care of patients from check-in to check-out as outlined by provider instructions.
Facilitates priority communications between patients and providers by processing messages that come in via phone, portal, web, chat and/or fax.
Greets patients warmly, takes patient's picture, verifies demographics and insurance information, collecting copays as needed.
Scans outside records the patient may bring to the visit.
Following the visit, performs the check-out process including making appointments (diagnostic testing and follow up appointments) and coordinating provider orders as appropriate.
Sends summary of care to outside providers.
Assists patients with insurance forms for Botox and other medications.
Monitors provider schedules to confirm all information is available for upcoming patient visits.
Mitigates any issues to ensure smooth patient flows.
Experience with medical terminology desired.
Previous EPIC experience a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
