Job Description:
Medical Biller for Mental Health Contract to Permanent full time salary Small company expanding.
Remote work.
Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing - Assign appropriate codes using ICD-9, ICD-10, and other coding systems - Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials - Resolve billing discrepancies and issues - Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation Skills:
- Proficiency in medical coding, including knowledge of DRG, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance claim submission - Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Software:
experience with Change Healthcare is a must Preferred:
