Our Facilities Business Unit is growing, and we are seeking a Senior-level Packaging Systems Designer.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesLeading and producing packaging system designs, including:
Developing and delivering packaging CAD, design deliverables, and budget to POWER and Client CAD standards Contributing to and developing mass balances, conveyor calculations, and other engineering deliverables Providing leadership for drafters and other designers, able to delegate and monitor the work, budget, and schedule.
Leading and participating in site visits for data acquisition, meetings, and installation support, providing vendor coordination, FATs or reviews as needed Communicating within the internal project team and with the external client team consistently and clearly by providing weekly internal project documentation, leading design team meetings and ensuring appropriate interdisciplinary project coordination Leading the presentation of deliverables to the client in face-to-face and virtual meetings Collaborating with internal and external multi-discipline teams in producing packaging system designs and deliverables.
Required Education/Experience 6-8 years of AutoCAD 2D/3D relevant work experience 3D Modeling capabilities in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks Ability to travel 10-30% within the United States Desired Education/Experience Technical Design Degree or other credentials 3D modeling ability using scan and point cloud data in a variety of formats.
10years 3D CAD design experience 5years Designer experience in design and layout of Food or Beverage (prefer packaging) systems.
Previous experience in data collection and field support for installation Experience in leading equipment FATs, including documentation and testing work Manufacturing or equipment design experience Knowledge of simulation At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
