The Software Engineer will be working in a focused, cross-functional team of engineers developing avionics products. The products incorporate microprocessors, micro-controllers and DSPs, with embedded C code. The software will be developed, designed and tested according to the requirements of DO-178B Level A.
The Software Engineer will perform the following tasks with a minimal amount of supervision and direction from senior software lead:
C Code requirements generation, design, test, verification, validation and documentation for existing and new Air Data Computers.
C Code design tasks, according to RTCA DO-178B Level A standards, for new Stall/Ice/Angle-of-Attack products.
Software and Hardware System Integration Tasks
Support FAA, EASA, Transport Canada or other Certification Authority interfaces

We are seeking a college student in the field of software engineering to support the development, test and qualification of aerospace sensors and systems. Experience in C language software design with a background in analog and digital circuit analysis/design is desired.
Good communication skills will be required to support technical communications. This individual will need to work with limited written and verbal direction, and be able to work well in a fast paced team environment. This
position
involves embedded software in an analog sensing technologies environment
Applicant will have, at least, completed sophomore year in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with additional software related
classes
) or Computer Science (with some hardware related classes). Competencies: C language, Microsoft Office Tools, Strong Technical Writing Skills, Strong Oral Presentation Skills, familiarity with software configuration management tools like Subversion, ClearCase, PVCS.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are required.
Basic
Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
Minimum completion of at least 30 credit hours
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Must hold a minimum 3.0 GPA
